Can believe how childish this movie is, Hellboy 1 and 2 are not like that
The stupid have one thing in common.They alter the facts to fit their views not the other way
you can or you can't?
And yes I can understand why some people might think this movie is cheesy and "childish" but I think that's part of the fun, this was never suppose to be a complex movie to take seriously, it's about giant robots fighting giant monsters, it's suppose to be a fun, light-hearted popcorn movie not to be taken seriously, so people should treat it as such.

I do have to ask though, what movies are you not supposed have popcorn with?

I suppose you can have popcorn with any movie...it's just that when people refer to certain movies as "popcorn movies", they tend to refer to movies that are more simplistic and don't require much thinking, movies that are more focused on the action and visual spectacles rather than putting more emphasis on the actual story, these types of movies are mainly made purely for your enjoyment, and are typically not complex movies. Pacific Rim is 1 of these movies that are more action/visual spectacle-oriented, its main selling point is the spectacular special effects and CGI, more than anything else, hence it's considered a "popcorn movie" by many people.
