Turns into a Road Runner cartoon in the third act
The movie was on track to be an 8 or 9 out of 10, but it goes straight into Looney Tunes Land in the final third, beginning with the moment the protagonist is able to escape a fcking stampede of people shooting at him and survives jumping off a cliff with little to no injury. The "wacky antics" of the final chase in the snow were so thinly conceived that my rating went down to a 6/10 for the film as a whole. What had been a complex exploration of ambiguous morality turns very quickly into a two-dimensional revenge flick. Also, Domnhall Gleeson's performance is abysmal.
