One of the things I find annoying and really quite stupid is how music fans claim a sense of ownership to a song simply because they’ve known of it longer, or because they didn’t discover it through another medium, such as film. I’m listening to Asleep on YouTube and am marveling at the barbed comments targeted toward Perks fans. Who cares how you come upon a song? The impact is the same.

They're getting barbed because they create a comment stating something along the lines of: "like if The Perks of Being a Wallflower brought you here"
Jackasses like that are annoying and need to learn to think of something more interesting to say than the same generic repetitive crap.

If we don't fight them now, then we are going to lose to them later.
