Invariably, main-stream media will, "Discover" this show a year after-the-fact. Hell, it took them at least two years to, "Discover" TAEASGJ. So just enjoy loving the show before it was cool to love the show. I guarantee you, the A and B list celebs are going to clamor to be on this show in time.
shareas much as I would like to see that happen, I really doubt the show will reach the popularity you're describing. I read somewhere the show will only run for 6 episodes, and I kind of doubt it will be renewed for a second season. fingers crossed though.
shareYou may be right. But the thing that shows like this and Tim and Eric have going for them is the extremely low-budget and short run-time. I don't really think Adult Swim thinks that this is going to be a money-maker. Hell, they don't even have ads. If anything, the show may generate enough buzz to get some more eyeballs on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim and that's probably good enough for them.
I remember when T and E first came out. Those boards were DEAD forever, too. Not even 3/4 a page of posts for the longest time and now it's blowing up. And to be honest, a lot of those posts from the T and E forum were Steve Brule quotes. I think it's going to be just fine (Crossing fingers, though). And don't forget, John is an A-List actor. It has lots of little things working in its favor.
I hope this gets further seasons. TAEASGJ is finished, and this is filling the void...this and Funny or Die episodes with T & E are the continuation. So support this show, ya dingus.
