So probably no season two, eh?

The DVD box art doesn't say "Season one" anywhere on it, just the title of the show.

I am kind of conflicted. It's definitely the kind of thing that can easily be overdone and lose its appeal (See: virtually all USA original series), and having only one season increased the cult cred of each episode. But I think there were still places to take it, one more season would have been fun. Oh, well.

Yeah. I have that feeling, too. I think Adult Swim would jump to do it again. The problem is that John is an A-list actor so there are so many distractions and obligations to overcome. Maybe it was just a phase for him. But Steve will be missed if this is indeed the end.

if this really is the last of Dr Steve, at least he left us with some great moments :)

I don't know how good of a source it is, but me and a few friends called David Liebe hart this summer. He confirmed there would be a second season, but again its DL hart so who knows.

The DVD (all 66 minutes of it in 6 episodes) was supposed to be released in Feb 2011. It's now May 2011 and there is no DVD released. Also Adult Swim hasn't said a word about any status. They can be really weird sometimes about the status of their tv series. Some series air for a season or two then disappear into oblivion or others go on really long hiatus, others cancelled without notice, etc. And of course they don't mention about DVDs except for the main shows like athf and robot chicken.
