Things that would have made this movie better?

I felt like it was too empty.

I wanted to see MORE struggle with her not aging. I felt like she should have had at least two kids and one of them should have died.

Also, her past relationships should have been explored more and gone into greater detail.

Plus, the narration of the movie was interesting, but I felt like the narrator's voice was too authoritative and should have been more casual yet professional instead of textbook. Also, she never changed personality wise. If you're the same age for so many years, I doubt you would stay the exact same. She seemed classy which was fine, but she had no humor and was almost TOO classy, if that makes sense?

Thoughts?

I think the movie was beautifully filmed and had a lot going for it, but I think they missed the mark a little on casting.. I love Blake Lively, dont get me wrong. I think she did a good job, but she's so synonymous with Gossip Girl & playing younger characters, it was hard for me to imagine her as someone "older". I wish they had cast more of an unknown, or at least someone who looked young, but had a great deal of wisdom beneath that.

I also wish the love story had been tweaked. I thought her love story with William was far more compelling, and when you have Harrison Ford and a nearly identical younger Harrison Ford-type, you should take advantage. I thought her story with Ellis was good but it could've lead to something better. And Harrison Ford played the love sick role so well, it would've worked far better in my opinion.

Lastly, *spoilers* I didn't like that the exact same event happened to change her back. I thought that was kind of too unbelievable, even for a movie like this.. I think it would've been more interesting if she stayed young or (unfortunately) passed away from the crash, and nobody but William knew. Even though that's not a happy ending, I felt like it would've fit the story better & given a little more mystery to her life/ condition.

Otherwise, beautifully directed and filmed. Clothes were spot on.

-How many times do you have to make the same mistake?
-Till I get it right.

The fact that she had to be on the run for fear of being captured and imprisoned for scientific study by any government that found out about her was enough tragedy for me. I was heartbroken for her. I didn't need to see anymore tragedy. She already know that at some point her daughter would die and that, no doubt, hurt her terribly. That is also why I did not need to see anymore tragedy in her life. There was no need to have her past relationships explored more and gone into greater detail. That was best left to the imagination of the viewer.

There should have been some other people that can't age. And they all have swords. And in the end there can be only one.

Here's what it needed
Lots of CGI and action scenes!
Nudity!
Musical numbers!

Seriously though I do agree with you. It's not a bad movie but here could have been a better backstory that including the various things you mentioned. Seems like a good idea with a lack of an original way to show it.
