Omy, lets pray

I suggest we all pray for this movie to be a great one because chace really needs to proove himself to the hollywood world right now lol

That would be great for him...but I'm pretty sure this movie is gonna suck. It's Georgia Rule redux. It's corny and cliche and just generally cheesy. The director's claim to fame is Driving Miss Daisy and that was over 20 yrs ago. I think it's time for him to stop milking that...everything since has been a flop I'm afraid. But Chace will be ok eventually. Should walk away from this project though.

Starwave29, how do you know it's "corny and cliche"? Have you seen an advanced copy of the film? Have you at least read the screenplay?

As for Bruce Beresford's track record, everything since "Driving Miss Daisy" certainly has not been a "flop." "Double Jeopardy" killed at the box office. And "Black Robe" was a critical success. I think you'll also find that "Evelyn" and "Paradise Road" are very accomplished films, albeit not perfect.

Having not seen "Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding" myself yet, I can't say how good it is. But knowing that it is an independent film on a relatively tight budget--something about the project has to be promising for it to have attracted the likes of Jane Fonda, Catherine Keener, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyle McClaughlin, and Rosanna Arquette, among others.

Jane Fonda hasn't made a good movie since she came out of retirement- Georgia Rule was unwatchable- so it'd be nice to see her in a GOOD MOVIE again.

I liked Georgia Rule and was amazed that Lindsay Lohan (!) was very good in it!!! (But I'd also thought she was lovely and sensitive in Bobby.) (I haven't seen her more mainstream, teen stuff.)

Monster in Law wasn't dismal or anything either. It's just that Fonda was the best thing about it. I've certainly seen much WEAKER light comedies!

Please movie Gods--may Jane win her third Oscar (even in a supporting role)for this!! I'm so excited for the great Jane.

I thought the movie was gd, lighthearted & fun with a bit of thought in there, fondas character was a bit ott, like in moster in law which i thought was really funny, but in general they were all gd,everything doesnt have to be 2 serious thats partly why i liked it also love a bit of jeffrey dean morgan.
