Man, after October 29th? Is it just me or are they really holding back till the last minute? Seems like we'd normally have even a teaser by now with the release date in February. I'm chomping at the bit to get an idea of how Elba is going to play Roland. Still not sure about him... but still excited for this!
Speaking of the release date, does February as the release date seem weird to anyone else? I thought I heard it said before that that time of year is reserved for films studios don't have much faith in. Maybe I'm pulling that out of my ass tho.
You know, Storm, I am right there with you. I'm wondering why the heck they haven't given us something... like, anything! I mean, we got studios like Disney busting out little teasers a year in advance. I don't think we're asking for too much, lol!
shareSo, originally it was slated for a January 17 release. Apparently, while February isn't necessarily an indication of great belief by a studio, January is supposedly the dumping ground for movies with little studio faith/backing. So the fact that they moved it to February makes me think they at least got around to having more faith in it once filming got underway. Also, in later years more movies have done well in February (like Deadpool) so it's a schism that's changing I think.
