shareSadly, probably not a teaser. The first footage isn't supposed to be released until EW's PopFest at the end of October. But maybe the first poster for the movie?
shareI dunno.... I think we will see a full on trailer at Popfest ( I am going ) but maybe we will get a little teaser on 09/19??? Its a pretty significant date/number Dark Tower wise... Although a poster would be great as well!
shareI was wondering this myself. A poster would be great. Personally though, I'd love to see the movie's marketing team spruce up the Tet Corporation website and/or the Sombra Group app, maybe add some more cool stuff for the die-hard fans.
shareSprucing up the app and website would be a good tie-in with a poster. Maybe the the Tower can pop up in the app when you scan the poster (assuming of course that the poster itself doesn't feature the Tower). 6-ish weeks before the first trailer would be the ideal time for releasing a first poster.

I actually hope we don't see the tower at all. Promotional and during the movie. I want it mentioned and the gravity of what it means felt. But that's it.
shareI usually love character posters, but I don't think there are really enough main characters yet to be able to do them for the first flick. Once drawing of the three comes around though (hoping that does happen), character posters would be awesome for the whole ka-tet. Of course, they better not forget Oy!

But yes, if not with this one, I think it's very likely we'd get character posters for the ka-tet. Now the question is, would they put Oy in Jake's character poster, or would they make our favorite billy-bumbler one of his own? :) share
Oh, my gosh, I was thinking the same thing! I mean, Oy is a separate member of the ka-tet, he deserves his own poster... but Hollywood being what it is will probably want to put him with Jake. I mean lets face it, I think most people going into this for the first time will look at Oy as the ka-tet's pet rather than his own contribution.
shareAgreed - as a full-fledged member of the ka-tet, I think Oy deserves his very own poster too. If they make character posters around the time when Oy first joins the ka-tet, I suspect you're right and they'll include him in Jake's. But who knows? Maybe they'll surprise us.
shareEven though it would be a little premature, I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to seeing the Tower in this movie. But I think seeing it further into the story would have more impact if, like you said, it's merely mentioned or hinted at in this film (e.g., Jake having a vision of a huge shadow spreading over a seemingly endless field of roses, or Walter sending Roland a hazy vision of it during their palaver, if they have one).
