I just read that the movie is sequel to the books can anybody confirm?

Yes, this film (series) is a Sequel to the books. Roland will be starting out with the Horn of Eld - a sign that things have *changed*. And this is being described as Roland's final loop/quest for the Tower. All this means that things will be different this time, though probably mostly the same themes.

shareStephen king once tweeted something like " the Paradox of Ka, it always ends where it began but explores new territory as it spins." Which I guess could also be paradoxical cause the end is suppose to be different.

They're doing this film as a sequel (or the next "turn of the wheel" so to speak), and they're doing Wizard and Glass as the TV series as I understood it.
