Though it's unfinished, i think the gist of it is there. Intriguing but at first i thought a bit too action only and not sure how they're trying to sell it, after a few more views however i'm thinking maybe Tech-noir? I've been trying to familiarise myself more with Arcel and Anders Thomas Jensen as they seem to be the new spin on TDT. One of Arcel's films has been described as Scandi-noir too. There's so much depth to try and cram into TDT along with action, sci-fi, fantasy, character development, storyline etc... I can see why Abrams and Lindelof were scared to take it on - but the noir element could be the perfect spin imo if that's where they're going with it. (Though i could just be biased as Neo-Noir films like Memento and Mulholland Drive top my all time favourites list.)

Noir sounds good. I don't really see it though. A little spaghetti western would be nice too.

Hopefully another trailer will shed a bit more light on the sub-genres. From what i've read in articles it seems like most of it will occur in NY, so probably no spaghetti western either. That duster looks mighty hot for a stroll in the desert, i wonder if it will fit in his gunna.

Everything fits in Roland'S gunna. He is the Hermione Granger of mid world.
