Relax. It's fine. I don't why you guys continue to engage with this kid. It is clearly why he is here. Look at all the attention seeking stuff he has posted today. Ignore, don't feed.

I don't know what happening in pm's. None of my business , but that whole suicide thing just fed their fire, Let it go, and enjoy yourself.

Oh, Wolf, of course we don't want you to leave. Honestly, let it go. You haven't done anything wrong other than engaging a hostile. Buddy, when you do that, it does nothing but stresses you out and, frankly, I find it exhausting. There's an ignore feature you should feel free to use... liberally if you must! Personally, I just like to meet the hostility with a level head. No matter how nasty they get, I keep it as calm as possible. And if gets too vicious? Ignore! It's easy. Stay aboard Just tap the threads that interest you and you feel you can contribute to. We'd hate to see you go!

No, you're not crazy, wolfdamage lol. I understand how frustrating it can be at times just to have a simple conversation on this board when you're constantly having to try to reason with or talk around the Negative Nancys, meanies, and trolls. Even though I try my best to stay civil, I've gone toe-to-toe with a couple of people here myself, and for some of the very same reasons you have. But please, don't let them drive you away. I can't speak for anybody else, but I enjoy seeing comments from every friendly, reasonable* person I've talked to here, and I'd hate to see any of you leave. Besides that, the reasonable people here help provide balance, which is a good thing.

So with all that said, please stay! :)

(*Side note, because I know certain people are thinking it: When I say "reasonable," I don't necessarily mean "someone who agrees with me;" I simply mean "someone who can hold a civil conversation, regardless of whether or not we agree with each other." Just wanted to be clear on that.)

Ah, the time honored "playing obtuse to draw out the argument" tactic. Okay, i'll bite.

Here's my statement on any and all future comments about wishing death on others ->

"When it comes to a work of entertainment, no one should ever wish death on a person when it comes to a disagreement. Not only is it morally unsound, but it doesn't lead to a place of understanding."

Feel free to take a screenshot of that. Hell, quote it if you like. And, if the mood should strike you, print it out and frame it...or wipe your ass with it.

Point is, i'm now on record. Don't worry...if you happen to forget, it won't be an issue: this thread will be periodically bumped so you can't retreat and feign selective amnesia.

Sure, i can see how odd it looks that a lot of us have rallied around wolf after what was said. And i do think it was a terrible thing to say, just as much as the attacks on people's personal lives by other posters. Tbh i was baffled that you were brought into it when it occurred as i hadn't seen you post around that time (plus i think this is not the first time you have been on the receiving end of this). Clearly tyler was antagonising wolf within an inch of his sanity and whatever happened in PM, who knows but it doesn't look good if it's true, and i also haven't seen you carry on like that either.

You have a thick skin (i also don't think you are personally offended), but sure thick skin or not it doesn't make it ok. But i disagree that you are looking for ammo against people, i think you're fed up with Wesker replying to all of your posts with what you once said about wishing harm on people involved in the movie. So in that case, fair enough - you're totally justified in that it should be laid to rest now.

If he wants to double down and affirm that he stands by what he said or genuinely and explicitly apologize for statements which are a hair's breadth away from a child's temper tantrum...especially in a fanbase I once thought was full of adults, i'd be all for it. Thing of it is, he never will, because either* implicates him and takes away from his power to keep foisting the "PC"/"shill" conspiracy theories on this board while attempting to put on the appearance of a superior/"true" fan.

(* That folks should lose their jobs and/or be in accidents in order to prevent this film from hitting the theaters.)

He doesn't have to. He stated them, we read them. He hasn't changed his tune or amended what he stated...and his continuing attitude surely doesn't help to dispel the notion. All I have to go on is that he really still means what he put forth to everyone here.

I take this to mean that spider just acknowledged he has made offensive comments in the past, and considering the usage of morals in his post i'm assuming he no longer condones whatever it was he said exactly but won't retract it while the hypocrisy of other posters saying worse is deemed acceptable on the board. Good enough for me. 

I think i can see what your trying to do Wesker, and in a lot of ways i respect it. I see this board as 60% defenders/optimists, 20% detractors, 10% fencesitters and 10% hit and run haters. As far as DT boards go that's a damn good ratio, the optimistic crew make this a good board for discussion and i respect you trying to keep it that way. Spider has a pretty strong (and often rational) voice here as a detractor and i can see the possibility regarding some of his points swaying the fencesitters AND turning the hit and run haters into stay and bitch posters. This would make for a pretty ugly argumentative board if it was a 60/40 rather than the current 60/20. Your arguments/debates with the detractors are articulate and usually humorous, hey you even likened me to Coral Thorin which gave me a laugh as i can see why you would and it was a funny sledge that i didn't take personally. Buuuut this one point with spider... technically i think he's right for being able to cry the moral high ground, heck, wolf didn't even mention why spider was dragged into it (I don't think he'd even posted for a while). At least some kind of explanation was offered with tyler and deadoralive.

You're not his spokesperson and he's a big boy. If he wants to refute what he said, he can say it. If he wants to stand by what he said, he can say it. Zero ambiguity is the only way to go here.

By the way, bear in mind that this became an issue once he began badgering the ever-loving-christ out of people by insinuating or outright claiming that their taste/intellect/status as a fan/etc is inferior simply because they are willing to give this film a chance.

Giving legitimacy to folks such as he...methods such as his...is not conducive to a healthy forum.

Just to chime in.....I stand by what I said.....not literally wishing death upon something. That was me being impulsive and acting purely on emotions. But I have no tolerance for people who go out of their way to bring such a horrible attitude towards other people here. I don't buy into this finger-pointing game of tattle-tailing and pissing contests for whoever needs the most attention. I originally came here to be apart of something that we all share a common love for. I am completely tolerant of anyone's opinion that doesn't parallel mine.....but the racists and homophobes are too much for me to tolerate. I admit I said some horrible things. Will those who I have retaliated against own up to their own parts?? I don't know. And I don't really care. I come here in peace and only wish the best for the people who are here to enjoy themselves with good intentions.

I have never private messaged anyone on this site. Wolfdamage has no arguments, only hatred. He tells people to "shut their mouths" and "commit suicide" because I mentioned that this clearly isn't the Dark Tower series that they are making.
