HBO...Westworld, why not TDT
HBO did such an outstanding job with WestWorld. That fact alone disappoints me even more as to what I would imagine could've been an outstanding premium channel honest adaptation.

shareI would have been all for that, except I don't have HBO. I do hope W&G gets that kind of treatment.
shareProduction value wise, yes I agree with you that HBO would do Dark Tower justice.
But, ultimately it all comes down to the writing team behind such projects.
Westworld, while technically impressive, I think is narratively tedious and boring.
It really is the approach they should have taken. The only bad thing is they probably would have played as horribly with the adaptive elements as it seems this movie is going to. At least it would have probably had a better pace.

Ah, the snob. Welcome back.

It's not too often people identify me as a snob. But, hey, if that's your visual of me, run with it.

It's strange. Perhaps someone really really wanted this to be a movie (series).
Whatever you are, be a good one.
We're getting both, anyhow: a series covering the Wizard and Glass flashback in addition to the film franchise about the other novels.
