Finally!? I've also had a hell of a time finding this. Hmmm.... dunno how I feel about it. I understand that the effects aren't finished, but from just the trailer the story is almost unrecognizable. I'll have to rewatch and let it digest a little. Man, I really want to like this adaptation and I'm holding out final judgement till I see the final product, but these changes are really worrying me. Of course the trailer isn't even 2 minutes, but still... makes me nervous in a way. Holding out hope!

Honesty i'm just hoping for a good movie with Roland in it. As long the characters are done right i don't care about the changes.

Yup, just as I suspected. I will stick with my imagination as a point of reference. This looks nothing, albeit only a brief snippet, of what I expected or hoped for. Oh well, life goes on. There are bigger fish to fry in this world.

More specifically, I suppose I had hoped for something with a spaghetti western feel to it. This may be because of how king described Rolands physical attributes ( had me thinking Clint Eastwood ) or maybe because how he described the adventures in towns of Lud and Majis(incorrect spelling?). Regardless, that's just my take, right or wrong.

This literally could not look more like generic Hollywood *beep* if it tried. Laughable, and the 'fans' trying so so hard to convince themselves the changes are a good thing, or that this is how they pictured it, are embarrassing.

Wow. Thanks for the link. I will not be watching this. Why is Roland Black? Theres already a black character. Speaking of which where is Susannah & Eddie? Jake and the MIB seem perfect but I always figured Roland to be way older. So Gilead will presumably be multi cultural? ROFL

Gilead has always been multicultural. If it wasn't, I would have expected Roland to be much more confused by Odetta/Detta's appearance when he first pulled her over. Not to mention the fact that he is utterly confused by her animosity toward people of lighter skin since skin color bears absolutely no importance to a person's status in Mid-World (or at least all the parts he had been to). Also... is there some sort of quota on the amount of black characters a story is allowed to have?

You are overtly correct. These aren't Dark Tower fans, they are close minded shill morons. They think the studios are gonna give them free stuff probably for pretending the changes are ok. They don't understand what a rip off means.

Right now I am just opened minded, but I aspire to shilldom one day.

I think we all wanted a straight adaptation, but that ship has sailed. I will be happy If this quasi sequel is entertaining, and has a Dark Tower feel to it.
