The Little Sisters of Eluria

I don't know if any of you have read this little short published in 1998. The story takes place between The Gunslinger and Drawing of theThree. It looks like they are including this story, or at least parts of it, in the movie. I was looking through the cast list and I saw a vampire and a nurse, both characters from Eluria, but I don't recall if they were mentioned in the original series.

When I saw those credits the first thing I thought of was the Little Sisters of Eluria, too. I don't recall characters like that in the early books, but then again it's been almost twenty years sine I read them so I could be wrong.

I don't think they were in any of the books. I don't even remember them being mentioned outside of the graphic novels/shorts. It took place shortly before the first book though, so it is possible for it to be included in some form.

It takes place before "The Gunslinger".

It would be a nice begining

That would be cool. The incomplete trailer had me sceptical as to whether they were going to keep all of the supernatural elements of the series, it seemed like they wanted to push a lot of it into more sci-fi.

Anyway, Little Sisters of Eluria (published in Everything's Eventual?) was the first Dark Tower story I read. It wasn't for another 7 years that I realised he'd finished the whole Dark Tower series. It was like finding a bucket of gold under my nose.
