I'd imagine he'd be in the Wizard and Glass television series. While that scene happens in The Gunslinger, I think it'd fit better at the beginning of Wizard and Glass for the film adaptation.

Agreed, though it wouldn't be bad if he appeared in a flashback sequence in one of the films, too.
