No Detta/Odetta/Susannah or Eddie?
Are they just removing them from the adaptation altogether?

shareThey are not in this film. Now, they SHOULD be making an appearance in a sequel, if the statement from this (http://tinyurl.com/zf2fz3x) article holds up.

Ah I see. I guess this first part goes up to the part where Roland catches up to the man in Black and falls asleep and wakes up to the man's bones. I guess the whole beach segment with the "lobstrosities" and Eddie's and Odetta's doors will probably be in that sequel?
shareOne can only imagine (hope). There seem to be several elements from the other books popping up in this first movie, but I think most of Drawing of the Three (reworked to fit in a movie, of course) is too good to pass up for a prospective sequel. As long as we eventually get Oy I'll be a happy girl!

Well hey, considering that the first film has much to introduce to the uninitiated, perhaps it is a boon that two main characters will make their debut appearances once the groundwork is sufficiently laid.

So why are characters from Wizard and Glass, The Calla and Discordia in the movie?
shareThere will be water, if God wills it.
(or "Ka", "Gan" or "The Man Jesus"...take your pick, Si)
