So all eight books are being crammed into one movie?

I do not want to see this great story streamlined into one or even two movies. There is way too much information to get a grasp of if you haven't read the series. But I suppose if there is no Susannah or Eddie then you don't need much of books 2,3,5 or 6. I don't think I read the 8th book.

One more thing. If Eddie and Susannah are not in this movie then I have no problem with Roland being black. Obviously they will make this a buddy movie where everyone will be jolly with each other. Am I wrong to want to see the hatred between Detta and Roland? (or better yet Detta and the world of the "Honky Mo Fo's). Detta Walker (aka Odetta Holmes both with the middle name of Susannah whom she later becomes Susannah Dean). Is her transformation not just as important to this story as Jake's?

Nope. At least one more sequel is planned if the first film does well enough in theaters and a television series based around "Wizard and Glass" is in the works.

And actually they said if movie one does well they have the ability to make countless sequels. So if it does good expect many more.

Not even that hopeful, they've abandoned the books entirely and just making a sh*tty version. As written by people who never bothered to read the books, as demonstrated by the awful PC stunt casting of Roland.
