Fubar Film

Casting aside, I genuinely think they are going to try to cram too many elements from too many books in to this one, the plot of the first book had enough content in it to give the series a good start. As it stands it runs the risk of being a throwaway film with some good set pieces of action. They've crammed the portal house, the new york stuff and even Sayre (who seems to be sat in the middle of the street in daylight indicating he isn't a vampire)

It just feels someone read the back covers of the books and made a movie.

"Hello Bub, I've brought some nice things for you to play with..."

reply

Yup. Why is Tirana and Sayre in the first film? People don't even need to read the books and they're expected to watch a movie that was supposed to be released in February. I'm sorry but this whole new spin doesn't work. Why even read the series?

reply

They need to read the books because they are great. This movie will either add to the experience or end up in the 5 dollar bin at Wal-Mart.

Don't say it doesn't work until you try it. Yager and eggnog is like the best thing ever.

reply

Eggnog...oh, how I miss thee.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing .

reply

Because, ideally, the two (film and all of the novels) will compliment one another.
