They could have made something genuinely great with this. Instead they pulled a PC publicity stunt with the casting, ignored the book's story almost entirely and worst of all did it on the cheap and turned it into some YA adaption cr*p with Roland as Jake's sidekick.
The inevitable tanking of this will basically ensure that no studio will take a chance on the Dark Tower again.
Typical lazy Wesker reply. [I AM A SAD MAN WHO LIVES IN HIS AUNT'S GARAGE. WELL, NOT GARAGE BECAUSE SHE STILL WANTS TO PARK. I LIVE IN THE ATTIC-LIKE ROOM ABOVE THE GARAGE. I HAVE TO CLIMB A LADDER TO GET TO MY BED. I KNOW THE JOKE IS MOTHER'S BASEMENT, BUT HONESTLY SHE'S HAD ENOUGH OF MY *beep* SO SHE KICKED ME OUT. I AM SPIDER] You have no counter argument so ignore the point entirely, don't think you know how to stay on topic anymore. [MY TOPIC IS A ONE NOTE PONY. I am Spider, and I don't know idioms. SO IF YOU SAY ANYTHING BESIDES "SJW SHILL! I HATE BERNIE AND MINORITIES AND WOMEN AND ESPECIALLY MYSELF" THEN YOU'RE GOING OFF TOPIC.]
The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed.
You couldn't delete mine, because you are not me. A fact you already admitted with your "Delete your account" quote. If all your bullsh*t was true you wouldn't have needed to say that, if there was actually anyone buying that nonsense you just gave away you are chatting total sh*t. You complete dullard.

Not with your constant 'PC' caterwauling, or your certainty that the movie will tank.
But I do find myself kinda bummed that they aren't sticking very close to the story of the series. That's not to say that what they do come up with won't be good, and I'm definitely going into it with an open mind.
It's just that I would give A LOT to see Idris Elba in a very faithful adaption of the series, perhaps told over the course of a hundred or so episodes of a netfilx original. And knowing that I'll never get that does make me sorta sad.
Elba in it would make it now a faithful adaption because that would require changing things, would need a much more talented and suitable actor for a faithful adaption.
No user called that on this board, there is however a pea brained hypocrite who tries to derail all topics they are too stupid to reply to properly and whose idea of a contribution to a thread is insult. Hint: that's you dip sh*t.
