I was looking for something to watch ON Demand late at night and couldn't really find anything so I gave this a shot not expecting much. I thought that Salma Hayek might showcase some nice cleavage and maybe see a few good fight scenes, but was pleasantly surprised at how good a movie this turned out to be :) It had a few typical cliche and corny scenes, but a lot less than I thought. All of the performances were good, especially Kevin James.
shareI didn't see this in the theater, and when it came out on DVD I had it in my Netflix queue but never got around to it. I figured it would be lame and predictable, and the only reason to watch it was because it was new, and now it wasn't even that. I recorded it on my DVD and finally watched it so it wouldn't take up space.
Turns out it was predictable, and I even saw the twist coming with the embezzlement. But I really enjoyed this movie. The characters all seemed genuine and well-played. The plot, though lacking in surprises, did not feel clichéd. It was a very inspiring movie.

I always thought that most of the stuff Kevin James did since koq was crap. But these movie was actually pretty funny
shareIt's fluff, but it doesn't pretend to be. Definitely not a -good- movie, but it's one of Happy Madison's better outings. Bas Rutten steals the show, Charise is adorable and Kevin James manages to make his patented likeable average guy persona work.

shareAgreed. I was on a Jet Blue flight and the TV screens were malfunctioning and mine got stuck with this movie as my only choice. I had low expectations since I'm not a big Kevin James fan, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had several Laugh out Loud moments, and was glad the movie ended in time before we landed. It's not a classic and not a movie some e will do their dissertation on. But it's funny and worth the view.
