They advertised/promoted this wrong.
The commercials for this were WAY off. I remember seeing them and thinking, "Wow, this movie is going to be another terrible That's My Boy, The Zookeeper, or You Don't Mess With the Zohan movie."
To my surprise, it wasn't.
It was actually smart, funny, wasn't overly cheesy, and could've been appealing to a wider audience. But the commercials made it look SO terrible and not even worth seeing at the theater.
Last night my boyfriend wanted to watch it and I kicked, screamed, and complained because 'the commercials looked sooo bad,' but I decided to suck it up and watch it. The movie was good. Not amazing, but good. I can't even understand how this commercial-editing person wasn't fired: it's almost like false advertising.
