Hes so good on king of queens, why cant he make a good movie?

Paul Blart was mediocre, and I actually havent seen this movie yet so I have no right to judge it, I just assumed it was as bad as the rest. I mean im not saying that his movies are terrible, likebtge lastbfew Adam Sandler atrocities, I just think he could do better, I mean it's Doug Heffernan, I figured he could make at least one hilarious movie
shareYou should give this one a chance. The trailers were terribly misleading. All the stupid crazy slapstick stuff in the movie was shown in the trailers; it's not that kind of movie.
I can understand why someone watching the trailer would think it was just like Zookeeper, or Grown-Ups, or Jack and Jill, etc., but it really is nothing like those movies.
My only complaint is that there were a few unnecessary over-the-top cheesy/silly moments in the third act, but the first 2/3 of the film is very solid, IMO.

Well considering the fact that I just watched Thats My Boy and was ridiculously surprised at how decent it was (the jokes not the plot, the plot was obviously horrible) I'll take a chance on this, when it comes on the movie channels
shareThis one was actually good. I think Kevin James' bet movie is I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. His best work is the King of Queens.

shareThis is exactly what I thought before hesitantly watching this movie. I was pleasantly surprised with this :) I am very critical when it comes to the quality of movies, and I have to give this movie a passing grade. It could have been better in some areas, but overall it is a very well made movie.
shareIt's not a good movie, but it's one of Happy Madison's better ones. I actually find the big lug pretty likeable when he isn't doing his fat guy schtick. Can he carry a movie? No, but he has playing the role of Kevin James down to an art form.

Actually, this ended up being a good Kevin James movie. It's the least like the rest of his cheesy slapstick humor, though apparently trailers frame the movie as that (I haven't seen the trailers).
I think stuff like Paul Blart is horrendous, whereas this was great.
This thread is almost 4 years old. Kevin James has come out with like 2 more bad movies and a horrendous television show since then lol
