This movie is better than the first one. Can't doubt how awesome the first movie was in showing the beginnings of Toothless and Hiccups relationship as that was very well done. But I feel overall this movie was stronger. Also this doesn't help my case but I also really enjoyed the netflix series even if it kinda missed on the end when it came to making them knowing the wilderbeast exists when going from that show to the second movie.
shareI don't think you're going to get a lot of argument on this one, deciding which is best is a subjective decision, and both movies are good.
I prefer the first one myself, but that's because I don't think I've ever seen a movie capture the love that can exist between a human and an animal quite so well.
I can't disagree with you on that. It was captured almost perfectly.
shareI also liked the 3rd one a lot, the 2nd was more about relationships between humans than between human and animal, I mean it's a really cool movie but most movies are about relationships between humans. The 3rd one was largely about the relationship between Hiccup and Toothless, and yeah, there just aren't many movies made about human relationships with animals.
I need to watch the whole thing again, I've got Disney+ so it's all prepaid!

I believe the first one was far better than this one. This one got so lame at times, I had to pause and resume it on another day...
