She made a bad film even worse. Most annoying kid since that boy in Real Steel.

She is no way worse than the black kid in The day the earth stood still. This was not a bad film its much much better than the cold light of day.

shareYes, she was annoying and quite stupid. The cherry on top was when she ran away and got her father into an even bigger mess. They couldn't have made her anymore annoying I think.
shareI can not stand when they have someone in movies like this, with bodies all over the place, doing stupid things and being a burden. I can understand being afraid. But they always do stupid stubborn nonsense. Like make phone calls, run away or just complain non stop. Its supposed to add to the suspense or make the situation more difficult I suppose. But it always drags down the movie because you hate the character and the things they do.
This could have been a decent movie. Just edit the daughter right out of the script

I had to stop watching about 30 minutes in because that girl was so annoying. Of course I gave up early, but I think I actually would have enjoyed the film had they made her character a little less grating...at least would have been able to finish it.
Also want to say that I agree 100% with toddp's comment. It seems like writers use an annoying character as a crutch, like they will somehow save the script. I don't get it at all.
If only he had said,"No there are no peanuts, eat them all honey!" it would have been a much better film imho
