I watched this movie tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was beautifully done. It was sad and also had the whole cinema laughing the whole time. Has anyone else seen it?. What do others think of it?.
Seeing it this weekend. I've heard similar comments to yours that it is surprisingly good. I'm not a big rom-com person but I'm looking forward to it.

simply because it is full of clichés, full of random "coincidences", i mean wtf both leads marry their highschool dates just because they are too dumb to make a move on each other and then move on, Greg seriously lost his condom in 2seconds of sex in her vagina so that she had to go to the hospital cause she couldnt find it anymore and gets pregnant cause of that even after taking the pill cause you know 10% chance and then cant give her baby away after it is born and also refuses to abort....
i could go on and on with all this stupid random coincidences! This movie went full retard right from the start, i know this movie is not taking itself too serious but still everything was too comfort whenever they needed something to happen, they didnt even bother making a good script for it but just made them appear out of nowhere, the whole script is too comfortable and the leads are not likeable at all
they both like each other but friendzone themselves at the same time because... actually i have no clue why.
the whole movie was too stupid, i cant recommend this to anyone, if my gf would not have forced me to watch this crap i would have turned it off at the 2second sex scene where greg lost his condom.

I am a big fan of Romantic movies in general, give me a couple with good chemistry, decent story and a relatively happy ending and I am sold.
That being said, the first time I saw it was because I stumbled upon it at Redbox, looked like my "cup of tea" and I rented it. Afterwards, I thought it was ok, nothing spectacular. A sweet story, with some flaws in it. I returned the disk the next day but I found myself thinking about this film more than I thought I would. I don't know why but there was something there that grabbed hold of me. So I finally bit the bullet and bought it on Amazon and re-watched it. It still has its flaws, (but really, most films do) but I can honestly say now that I really love this movie.
I recommend this film to all hopeless romantics and lovers of romantic films. Yes the leads are their own worst enemies and there are times when you just want to slap some sense in them, but they finally get it and it was pleasure (for me at least) to watch.
I loved the film.
Thought the leads were great together, and in Greg you knew you had a "villain" you would love to boo at!. Yes, there were a couple of things that didn't make sense such as the virtual disappearance of Rosie's brothers from the film which seemed to be done to make it seem as she had no support apart from her text relationship with Alex.
All round though, a nice film with a great feel good ending.........

shareHated the last twenty minutes of the film. Of course, Greg was a cheat. Of course, the guy's girlfriend was pregnant with another man's child. Bettany (?), obviously loved the guy and he dated her and married her decades later, but she just wasn't the one. Predictable "happy" Hollywood ending.
