Anyone else think this would make a great comic book or graphic novel?

I think the entire concept of this movie actually does feel like a book. In some ways, the script seems like a screenplay adaption from a novel that didn't include all of the information.

It almost kind of felt like a Hunger Games or Divergent type book, though this was shortly before these started to get more popular. Why I compare it to those is the whole dystopian society, and the fact you have different classes and what not, or in the case of this movie, you have the zones.

I felt a book would have done a much better job of explaining how this all came about anyways, instead of just casting aside, saying he doesn't have time to explain it. It needs to be explained, because it seems like that people wouldn't be just born with a clock, so in that sense, they're all genetically engineered anyways, and if they're not, how can they be born with a clock? I think that needs to be explained.

I also think a book could have explained the differences between the zones better. If New Greenwich is the fourth time zone, then what are 1-3? Like are those for the government and other things, or what? I just felt a book would have been a lot better premise for this, and instead of a really poor ending on the writer and director's front, he could have taken his time to turn this into a book instead of a screenplay. Who knows, maybe it would have then turned into a movie anyways?
