The huge bank at the end...

So forgive me for sounding a bit dumb but did anyone really buy that crap at the end where just the two of them are going to rob that enormous bank? Not to mention that it looked so much like the World Bank... So they really believe that the two of them with just two guns are going to take down a huge bank that most definitely has hundreds of armed guards and countless security measures? I don't. That really irritated me. Anybody else? What did y'all think about that ending (try not to be an ass to me or other posters, I just want to hear opinions about the movie ending)?

The ending sucked as much as the rest of the film, but if Philippe Weiss , someone who in our world would be considered a mega billionaire had a whole shi-load of useless bodyguards (with lame sunglasses, what was that about?) that were as limp wristed as "the ghetto" minutemen criminal henchmen , Im going go with a view that society in that universe is not as tough as our society today.

The ending wasn't good, but sometimes, if you cannot do it right, just go overboard and it is less stupid than trying to be serious. It's like in interior decorating, if you cannot hide some ugly facet, you emphasized it .. and it sort of works.

haha having a digital currency stored in physical cartridges with limited capacity and then store them inside a physical vault is silly anyway, might as well have some visual representation of them robbing banks and upsetting the economy, because watching some one hacking/robbing virtual banks is boring as hell.

In a world where you could pretty much live forever so long as you get paid, I'm sure they are very much more leery of dying accidentally.

it was ridiculous to think they could rob any bank so easily. I mean why had no one else in the world accomplished it when they made it so easy?

reply

Exactly! When I saw them rob the first bank so easily, I was thinking was this the first time that anyone had tried to rob a bank and that was why the security was non-existent?

Having had to drop any pretence at thinking this was a believable premise right from the outset, and just having to sit back and watch the nonsense unfold before my eyes, I've got to admit that this particular point didn't even occur to me. You're right, it is ridiculous, but did it bother me? Not a bit, because every single thing about this is ridiculous.

I think in essence the way to watch it is to just not ask any questions about it's credibility, or whether anything makes sense, because if you do, you'd walk out after about 3 minutes. I watched it with a view to having a laugh, a few thrills and chases, but sod the storyline. And I enjoyed myself quite a bit.

It was about as dumb as the scene where the two of them get the drop on Sylvia's dad and his umpteen bodyguards and walk right out of the building with him.🐭
