What's the value of all the stuff in real money terms? 116 = $3million

I did a economic analysis of all the stuff in real world terms.

A cup of coffee is worth $0.20 in real world terms. That fancy car? $1.5million.

Basically it's minutes / 20.

Dayton 1 Minutes Girl begging $0.05
Dayton 1.65 Minutes 99 Second Shop $0.08
Dayton 4 Minutes Cup of Coffee $0.20
Dayton 30 Minutes Lunch from Mom $1.50
Dayton 60 Minutes 6 Pack of Beer $3.00
Unknown 120 Minutes Bus ride to Dayton $6.00
Dayton 360 Minutes Will's shift (net) $18.00
Dayton 2880 Minutes Desperately pawns her jewerly $144.00

Dayton 5256000 Minutes 10 Year Gift from Will to Borel $262,800.00
All 525600 Minutes Everyone get's 1 year after 25 $26,280.00
All 525600 Minutes Cross Time Zone $26,280.00
New Greenwich 86400 Minutes Standard night hotel room $4,320.00

That a minute is only worth $0.05 doesn't make a whole lot of logical sense. This is my take on it. A lot of the time to money conversions seem to be inconsistent but what if you consider the possibility that the value of time is different from zone to zone similar to how differing currencies have differing values across the world. So a minute in Dayton isn't necessarily worth the same as a minute in New Greenwich. Then take into consideration hyperinflation similar to what happened in Germany after WWI. Companies were paying their workers in the morning before work because it would be worthless by the end of the day.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time Del Boy, it's them that started me drinking!

I actually came to the same estimate of $0.05/min using the phone call (1 min), the coffee (4 min) and the bus ride (2 hours) and relating them to todays costs. That would be like you said 0.05 for the phone call, 0.20 for the coffee and $6 for the bus ride that had been $3 (previously 1 hour as stated by Will's mom). That would mean the Jaguar is worth $1,643,976 give or take

Interesting, and I agree.

A cup of coffee is worth $0.20 in real world terms.
Yes, and it would be more apparent in terms of wholesale price, but do average consumers in the In Time "America" (assuming Los Angeles therein belongs to the concept) unlike our America have access to products and service at wholesale prices?
