Plot holes and propaganda

This film was created to serve as anti-capitalist propaganda; to subliminally promote Marxist lies that our monetary supply is finite, and that the rich become rich by "stealing" from the poor. It was no accident that In Time was released during the Occupy Wall Street protests of 2011. The result is a poorly written film designed to disguise the subversive propaganda it contains, which is why there are so many plot holes and inconsistencies.

What the *beep* are u talkin about ? Can it not just be a movie dude ? Stop overthinking

All films are created to promote a message of some sort or another. The film industry is used as a propaganda machine for the powers that be, much like the media, and music industries. Don't be so naive. You still can enjoy films as I do while allowing yourself to recognize the underlying *beep* that they are trying to promote.

It's about time too. Capitalism is an unnatural scourge which is destroying the world. The sooner the world is rid of it the better.

There's no lying; that's exactly how capitalism works.

It was no accident that In Time was released during the Occupy Wall Street protests of 2011.

It was a coincidence. Nothing more and nothing less.

The result is a poorly written film designed to disguise the subversive propaganda it contains, which is why there are so many plot holes and inconsistencies.

"Subversive propaganda"??? The truly sad thing is that people like you are brainwashed from birth into thinking that capitalism is a fair and equitable system. It's not. It's completely unnatural and ensures an unfair imbalance. While it exists there is no hope of ever solving the world's main problems; the vast majority of which concern the world's poor.

Capitalism is the most natural socio-economic system ever devised by man. It allows for the natural market forces of supply and demand to work properly, and it protects the property rights of the individual. Life is unfair, and the world is unfair; get over it. Once you begin stripping away individual's rights, and creating government-enforced controls, in order to "correct" those so-called imbalances, you create many new problems. The end result of Socialism/Communism will always be a totally impoverished population who are ruled over by a select few elite. That is what is was designed to accomplish by Marx and his contemporaries. Many of the things that you do not like about modern Capitalism is due to the fact that what we have now is actually a sort of crony-Capitalism, or Corporatism, which is what has been created as Socialism has crept into the West over the last 100 years, or so.

People that hate capitalism A) don't understand how the world works, B) aren't smart / hardworking enough to live successfully in that type of environment.

Very true! I often find that they are just poor and/or lazy individuals who are jealous of those with more resources than them. They are easily conned into believing that this "inequality" only exists because those with more have "stolen" it from those with less.

I never said that there weren't rich people like that; however, there are many more poor people, than rich, who fit that description, as well. My point was that it is a myth/lie that you can ONLY become wealthy by taking from others. Most people become wealthy by creating businesses, which provide the jobs for everyone else. Also, if you weren't allowed to make profits no one would start businesses, or bother to innovate anything. Profits allow for economies to grow and flourish. Communism kills economies, both literally and figuratively. If you've always been poor, or live in a country with high levels of governmental corruption then you will be easily influenced by the Marxist/Statist propaganda.

There are more poor people who cheat, steal, and lie because there are more poor people than rich. But, if we look at percentages I believe we will see that they are equal.

People that love capitalism are ignorant, brainwashed, SELF-ABSORBED imbeciles who suck up the bu11$h1t they're fed and then ask, "please sir, can I have some more"? You poor, sad, pathetic little creature...

Nope. It is COMPLETELY and UTTERLY unnatural and nothing whatsoever like the way humanity has lived throughout most of it's history.

It allows for the natural market forces of supply and demand to work properly, and it protects the property rights of the individual.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! "...the natural market forces of supply and demand ... protects property rights...". The brainwashing is strong with this one! I don't know which is worse (or funnier), that you think property rights are natural, or that you think humanity would live that way naturally! It's both hilarious and incredibly sad at the same time. No doubt you're American right? They feed you guys that bu11$h1t from the day you're born over there...

Life is unfair, and the world is unfair; get over it. Once you begin stripping away individual's rights, and creating government-enforced controls, in order to "correct" those so-called imbalances, you create many new problems...

Well you're off blabbering about some other crap that's irrelevant to the 'discussion' now so there's no real need to respond to this stuff...

As a business major, and not a bright-eyed bushy-tailed youngin', I can assure you that capitalism is just a form of slavery. Rather than outright owning people and providing them with necessities we are convinced that earning our money and exchanging that for necessities is a fairer system. It is not. We still work for the slave owners, it's just been given a different name.

We have also convinced ourselves that we own the earth, but in the long run the way we are assaulting it will be the downfall of humanity. If you read the small signs we see that Mother Earth is more powerful than we can ever be, no matter what we like to tell ourselves and others.
