Ep.2 - Firebase shows the latest video technological effects ...
and are they revoting and disgusting. Seems like they intermixed scenes from the 1970's Viet Nam war with special effects that show bodies in extreme states of rot and massive trauma, burns, cuts, etc.
It's pretty damn hard to take, especially at the beginning where you wonder if these could be actual films of actual people, or what might or might not be real.
It's sensational, but I think back to as a kid watching the Outer Limits where the effects were not comical, but also not realistic, and if there is a good story line I don't think the effects matter so much. That's how I feel about it anyway.
