Cause there is only 1 intruder so.....not sure why they went with the plural form.
Oh and the movie REALLY lets you down in the end. I admit I was engrossed for the entire thing, but their "twist" or revelation was about as weak sauce as it gets.

I think that would have ruined the twist of it really being the same figure, once with John Farrow as a young Juan, and then later with his daughter Mia. The figure appears to have a different shape/clothing in each of their occurences
