Anyone ever see 'The Shadow Man' on the 80's New Twilight Zone..?

This reminded me a lot of it. Story was about a boy who finds that a mysterious shadowy figure is living beneath the bed in his room and is responsible for the disappearance of other children in his neighborhood. It doesn't harm him because when it emerges, it says "I am the Shadow Man, and I will not harm those under whose bed I rest." The kid then uses the monster to take revenge on bullies who have been harassing him. Has a twist ending that I won't give away. One of the better, creepy tales from this excellent reboot of TTZ.

This is very hard to read, isn't it?

Yup, saw it when It originally came on and loved it! The twist ending REALLY freaked me out as a kid though!

Ha! I hadn't thought about it, but that episode stayed with me for a long time. That twist ending was so scary.
You're right, there are common elements, mostly pertaining to kids' fears and how they deal with them.
I was pleasantly surprised by Intruders, it's quite a simple story but told well, with great acting, and a childlike fascination for things that go bump into the night.
