Loved it until...(Spoilers)
...the last twenty minutes. Way to completely dismantle the film at the climax. And yes, I got that the boy was Clive Owen. We all pretty much guessed that right off didn't we? I still liked the duel timelines, it added suspense for me. But to then turn it into what it ended up as was so disappointing. To say that his daughter started having these deep psychological problems by reading some story...c'mon. Ridiculous. Even by saying that Hollowface was a real apparition...still lame. Especially given the fact that apparently, either psychologically or otherwise, this monster's two weaknesses are tears and story time. The resolution to this film was forced and, unlike the first three quarters of the film, shallow. It's too bad someone couldn't have polished this story up a little more. It was just missing some smooth edges to round out the plot.
