shareif you were an actual lawyer/jurist you wouldn't say that and its episodes are too formulaeic, pretty much every episode is the same
The West Wing, Sherlock, The Wire, The Sopranos, (insert many more shows) ... even something like House, all put Suits to shame, and while some of the characters are relatively likeable (to me) I have to say the overacting can be too much at times (sadly, too many times)
I enjoy suits but it's not one of the cleverer shows I've watched, in fact, it's rather close to the bottom
You should watch Beverly Hills 90210, GoT, Magnum, Miami Vice, or that new show Westworld to know what shows intelligence wise are at the bottom.
Im a jurist and while some of the legal procedings are really laughable not to mention the whole premise of a firm knowingly hiring a fraud as a lawyer, some of the seasons plotting is really excellent. The writing has gotten better and better even if they repeat a lot of the steps. Episodes have plenty of pace and development, and interesting new characters always come around. The styling is also top notch, a lot different than The Wire or Westwing. I find Suits hugely entertaining.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the show :) and yes I agree, there are much, muchworse written shows out there XD
Westworld? Really? I have t watched any of it yet but I expected it to at least not be terrible XD but I did i agine I'd only watch one episode and nkt like the premise, one shiw I did expect to be (for lack of a better word while half asleep) terrible in the intelligence dept is Young Pope, havent seem that one either
But back to the point, yes there are much worse shows out there I just havent ever actually "watched" many of them, Suits is good, just, there are quite a ew better ones out there :) but all in all I think the show is likeable and I would recommend a radom someone to watch it
An intelligent? Not quite, entertaining definitely. Mike practising as a lawyer for a top firm without a degree with the senior and managing partners blessing? This is the most stupid premise ever. It's actually fraud and could put the firm in serious jeopardy - there's the risk of invalidating all rulings in cases he's been involved with, law suits, criminal proceedings to mention a few. For a "smart" guy his decision to continue to work for the firm is equally ludicrous. If this has been resolved the show would still be entertaining enough and Mike wouldn't sound like a self-righteous tool when talking about "moral obligations." Right now it's just pretty ridiculous.
shareI like the show, but I think there are much more intelligent shows:
The Wire
The West Wing
Definitely come to mind.

Indeed. But from even more than just an entertainment standpoint, you can learn a lot from Harvey about status, body language, and asserting your will. These are things that can really benefit you down the line in life both personal and business.
