This is what I wanted from the movie: Explosions, aliens and some general carnage and destruction.
It managed to deliver all of that.
Honestly I enjoyed this more than 99% of the last years blockbuster movies. It really doesn't try to pretend to be anything other than it is. Just mind-numbing fun.
I agree - although I saw this one on a plane.
It was nice to have boarded a brand new plane that had entertainment screens on the back of each seat. We had about 50 movies to choose from, and being a 2 hour flight, I had just enough time to watch ID:R.
I liked it because I could easily forget it when I "deplaned" and I didn't have to put any thought into it.
I was curious to see how they were going to defeat the aliens this time without using a computer virus uploaded by with a MacBook. Glad to see they went with a different angle this time.
I think there's some kind of conspiracy against this movie. Just watched it and OMG its almost as good if not better than the first movie.
