This is to Indepence day what TFA is to ANH.

So, i just watched this hilarious pile of crap and i struck me that this is to Independence day what Force Awakens is to A New Hope.

Although not a rehash in the same sense that TFA is, this movie reuses so many of the same "ideas" and elements from the movie and follows the exact same plot curve, just making it way more extreme. All together terrible dialog and pointless characters that serve no purpose is another thing they have in common.

Perhaps this is becomming a new trend in hollywood?

Objectively, ofcourse TFA is a better movie, though i actually might have been more entertained by this steaming turd of a movie (mainly because i dont really care about the this franchise and its kinda one of those movie that get more entertaining the worse it gets).
