This movie was shocklingy good.

I think I only saw the trailer once so I don't know about that but from the first movie, the characters were not likeable. I didn't care who lived or died. No suspense, no fun. I remember watching the first movie on the edge of my seat when they started blowing the buildings up, watching the fire roll through the streets and waiting for the characters to escape in the knick if time was a thrill. The destruction was on a bigger scale in the sequel but lost the human element in the process. It was just like watching buildings and cars get destroyed without experiencing what the people inside were feeling.

I also felt the storyline was lame with wasted screen time on boring characters that added nothing like the dad driving around a bus full of children. In the first movie that man came up with the plan to save the world. I think that was trying to copy the family scenes that had Randy Quaid but he also ended up saving the
world.

Also lacked the humour of the first film.

They were badly drawn, badly developed and badly acted.

We will definitely have to agree to disagree here, but how many times have you watched the film?? I've watched it a bunch now since owning it and I feel they get better every time. I pick up a new motivation, or I allow myself to feel a bit more for the two central newbies, Hemsworth and his buddy.

The main characters from the first are still the better aspect, and I think overall, they did a great job including the continuations and introductions at the same time.
