William Fichtner is great and works in everything. But would have been cool to have Baldwin in this.

I always forget he survives the first film, but I also thought Fichtner's role seemed written for Baldwin's character. Not sure if he couldn't return or they just decoded against it.

Judging from their vibe at the end of the first film, he's off living with Randy Quaid's son Miguel in New Mexico, probably running a themed pub.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

Agreed. He should have been the general in charge at Area 51.
