Seriously, the guy can't keep an eye on an old man with a cane, and ignores the daughter's advice to keep her Dad safe?

I would have pulled a 'Mr Nimzicki, you're fired' on him after he couldn't keep Whitmore from getting into a plane.

I thought the point was that Matthew agreed with what Whitmore wanted to do and was helping him do it.
