"20 years in the making......"

OK, maybe not really but you know what I mean. This is the best they could do as a sequel? What, did a 15 year old write the script? It appears that way judging by the juvenile dialog during the movie. Speaking of juvenile, could they add a few more kids? A bus load wasn't enough.

....more like twenty minutes.
The writing looks like it was made for 15 year olds but that makes no sense since it's a sequel to a movie they couldn't have been part of in '96

I'm guessing Will Smith read the script and that's why he passed on this.

same with Indy4 or Ghostbusters 3. Allegedly they "waited for a good scipt",but then the outcome was just sh*t.

The logic, or should I say lack of logic is insulting. They have shield technology but don't apply it to any of the bases, fighters or weapons platforms. The only time you see it being utilized is towards the end where it is used to contain the cold fusion blast.

Really, a mobile shield generator. I think they stole that one from the Gungans (Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace).

I had that exact thought....like they put giant space guns in orbit and on the moon, expecting them to come back, but they didn't bother to use the shields!?
