Hilarious Mess of a Movie
Perfect movie for a 12 year old boy.
Let me ask you, do you remember when you were 12? What movies were to you back then? Most adults and film buffs today all started their love with films when they were kids. When films were "magic" and all they ever needed to do was ENTERTAN you. But somewhere along the way of growing up, we became too critical and too quick to pick apart a film for being "dumb" because , well, being older means you've learned to appreciate truly exceptional film making. But the more critical we become, the more films fail to meet our own ridiculously high standards that we set, and you'll find yourself not liking as many films as you used to.
It's a shame, really, and a trap I once fell into myself. But you don't have to let the "magic" slip away. You can always tap back into your inner film loving child and just escape for a few hours. If you can do that, I promise you will find more and more films every year that give you what you REALLY want. And that's an awesome EXPERIENCE. That's what I get from ID and IDR and I love them both!
Who's strangling the cat?
Agreed! I love both these movies because they have that great old Saturday morning matinee action-adventure feel.
