I love how we almost get a cookie-cutter ending with our heroine realizing she needs to grow up, move on, become a better person, etc. But then with one comment from Matt's sister, she's back to her old ways. I just love it! It's the only way this movie should end...there is no redemption for Mavis...not this moment in time anyway.

shareI liked it. She's a loser, an alcoholic, and an asshole, and she knows it. There's no growth or redemption. That's what the movie is about, and that's why some people don't like it, but it succeeds perfectly at tragedy.
