Disappointed that it wasn't filmed entirely on location in Minnesota

Minnesota is not a famous movie-making spot, to say the least. When we saw the view from Mavis's apartment, I hadn't the faintest idea where she lived.

Now I come to find out that parts of the movie were filmed in White Plains, NY and other parts on Long Island. Why the heck don't moviemakers film the entire thing in the state in which the movie is supposed to be situated? Spread the revenue around a bit.

That scene was actually filmed in Minneapolis. I see that building every day.

This is like the second or third movie Theron has made in Minnesota --- North Country for one, don't remember the other
