I quite liked this.
So much better than the recent Alice in Wonderland update. Also much better than Wicked as a backstory explanation for Theodora's wickedness, and the Wizard. I haven't read Baum's books but I'm assuming there there's a fair departure from source material. Nevertheless it has me curious to check them out. I think it's a fine children's tale that allows them to also see how events can impact people and lead them to do good or evil things. As a moral story it surpasses The Wizard of Oz, and it is full of whimsy and fun. Not a great movie but certainly a very good one imo.
