i love her but she was the worst part of this already bad movie.

all she effing did was scream every line after she turned evil --where did the actual acting go? there was so much she could have done with that character. how did the director allow that to slide by? if i were the director i would have been like "Mila... wtf are you doing... No...stop ruining this role and ruining most of the movie by shouting EVERYTHING and add some range and layers to your character or you're fired as *beep* Thanks."

james franco didnt seem like he was taking the role seriously or for some reason all his natural charisma humor and charm went nowhere in this role somehow.

the characters they find along the way sucked. shoulda stuck with the lion, tin man and scarecrow. for real.

but through all its boring parts, parts that made no sense, bad characters, HORRIBLE ACTING, Mila Kunis after she turned evil ruined the film. If she had just done better I might consider watching it a second time but I know I can't now.

You know she's the 'Wicked Witch', who's incredibly angry, right?

She's not the 'Slightly Miffed Witch'.

I thought James was still his funny self.
He's always been a cheesy over actor.

Hate and anger underlies wickedness.
There are no happy wicked people - unless they're psychopathic.

It was a quick joke about anger levels. Not a grammar lesson.

In the Wizard of Oz the Wicked Witch played by Margaret Hamilton has some wisdom that Mila would have found useful "These things must be done delicately or you hurt the spell."

She says it in a soft wheedling way but she is evil through and through.

Margaret Hamilton played the role with subtlety, something Mila Kunis couldn't understand with this part. She starts cackling like a demented chicken for no apparent reason, even when the character doesn't get what she wants and looses a fight. Margaret cackled only either if she won a battle or to "save face" such as when she returns to a puff of smoke in Munchkinland, and that was after she made her threat known to everybody. In this film, Kunis cackled when she was basically told off by the entire populace. It made no sense and was very much out of place.

"Great theater makes you smile. Outstanding theater may make you weep."

And, going in line with the progression of the movies, Margaret Hamilton's character would have been an older, wiser wicked witch. Mila Kunis' not-so-subtle witch would have matured and become wiser later.

Not as good as Margaret Hamilton I'm afraid, if you don't think so, then you don't understand subtlety, something Margaret brought to the role, Mile, did not.

I think Eva Green would've made an excellent Theodora. She has the chops to pull off the innocent ingenue turned evil witch while making you love and hate her at the same time-even though the role was pretty shallow. For Oz, I'd pick Jude Law for his charisma and onscreen presence. I think the two of them would have awesome chemistry with Weisz and Williams.

I thought her voice did not work with the witch. She always sounds so cute. They could have distorted her voice but they played that cackle and then she talks and is all.cute again..

I liked James. He was fun.
