What's great about these movies is a so called remake is impossible

3 and 4 did that already. A 6th will happen one day whether they number it or not.

Yeah 3 mentions the original, but it's no big deal. 5 kinda does the remake thing until the last few minutes.

They're all sequals, no matter how connected they are to the previous ones (released). A remake would be an actual FD movie that already exists done again (kind of like what I'd like to do with the fourth one).
