What is the point of putting these movies on tv?

I keep seeing them listed as being shown on television. What is the point of that? People don't go to these movies to actually be scared or anything else but watch the grisly deaths. The whole point of these movies (except maybe the first and second) is the deaths, which get cut out in order for them to be shown! I doubt they're popular on tv, and it doesn't make sense to me.

They don't always edit them. If it's shown at the right time, the deaths are completely intact. I don't see them on TV much, but all the times I have they have not been edited at all.

I have seen some edits on YouTube though, Rory's is the strangest so far, as it doesn't even look like he's died. (He just kind of looks down, and then he's not shown again).

I was saying this the other day when I saw "Final Destination 3" and "The Final Destination" on MTV. They total ruined the majority of the death scenes, especially the opening promotion. All you see is stuff flying at people, but you don't actually see who gets kill. For example, the hood of one of the cars flies off and hits the racist couple and slices them in half. But watching this on MTV, this scene is edited, and you don't even see the hood hit them. You just see it flying in the air. Also the mother who survives is not only trampled, but she also gets hit by one of the car engines. MTV cut this scene making it seem as if she dies from being trampled. She didn't. Worst of all,Worst of all, Nick's death in the promotion is edited. According to the censored edit it looks as if Nick doesn't see his death, he just snaps back to reality. Nope, Nick is impaled by a pole. (I am guessing the force of the explosion knocked him back in to the pole.) The other poster is also correct because it also depends on what channel you watch these films on. I saw "Final Destination" on Encore and it was uncensored.

Encore is a premium pay channel. Why would it be edited or censored?

"Now, tart face, take your Clark bars and get outta my house!!!"

I watched it on FX and the deaths were still graphic.
