La La Land dominated the evening with eight wins, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing.

I loved the film and it's my second favorite film of the year after Arrival. It's very unfortunate that this didn't get nominated for Best Picture--Drama, but I can at least understand the notion the HFPA might have had that it's really Portman's film and her performance speaks for itself.
