Both have the nominee for the Golden Globes and I'm going to go ahead and guess they both have it for the Oacar as well. These were my two favorite performances (Amy in Arrival) but I honestly can't decide which will win!

Natalie Portman. She is more universally liked. Polictically she will win as she is a more bankable star. Her performance in Jackie was absolutely perfect!
shareAlthough I love Amy Adams and think she's a far superior actress and I loved Arrival, Natalie Portman will win the awards for political reasons and because Arrival is a sci-fi film and main category awards are sadly not given to this genre.
shareNatalie was better but I am rooting for Emma. Amy was good, but she's not going to win. She perpetually loses, so the Academy should save her the grief of losing yet again.

I think Amy Adams is a superior actress but Hollywood loves Portman and back stage politics play a bigger role in who wins. Lets be for real, if the award shows were truly about talent. George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock and Gwyneth Paltrow wouldn't have Oscars.
